I'm not sure that's a fact here. I'm listening to an interview with a former assistant US Attorney. He said there are at least 16 jurors and as many as 24 to start in case issues come up and a juror(s) has to get off, for example, because they know a witness. He said it takes 12 to indict. That's the minimum. That's why I question the way some are reporting that 12 out of 16 voted to indict. That's what's required.
