12 of us were on a cruise that stopped in St. Marteen for an excursion. As we walk to the taxi line, 20 black divers were begging for our business. We choose on guy because he had a van for all of us. It took him about 15 minutes to retrieve the van.
While we waited, a nice black American family asks us where to get a taxi. The drivers were still standing with us. I pointed to the drivers telling the nice family that they could help them. None of the drivers offered them a ride.
Shocked that the taxi drivers refused to give this family a ride, I realized how racist these drivers were to black Americans.
I have no idea if this is standard operating procedure, but for this brief moment I realized the world is pretty racist.

Hiring initiatives.
Corporate drives to promote more minorities.

Oppression in 2020 US is a myth. If a person is oppressed in this country these days it is because they are trying to be oppressed.
You can be born into a free/nearly free home. You can be fed with free food. You can be taken care of with free healthcare (Medicaid). You will go to a free daycare. You can have a bus come pick you up at that home for free and go to a free public school. At that school you can eat free meals. You can then go to free after school programs. Then, another free bus can take you home.
IF, you go to that school, apply the least bit of effort, and stay out of trouble, you will graduate. If you graduate and have no felonies, you will be given grants to attend college. You will have multiple colleges to choose from. If you go to college, apply the least bit of effort, and stay out of trouble, you will graduate with no debt.
After you graduate college, you will enter a job market that is 100% catered to you. Corporations, whether by choice or mandate, will be bending over backward to hire you. Once hired, you will work in an environment catered to you and you will have the backing of HR, FOR LIFE.
In summation, if you claim to be oppressed in the United States of America in the year 2020, you can frick right the hell off.

This is nonsense, of course. Black Americans with roots in the slavery experience, as a people and culture, survived enslavement (largely by the direct action of their own people) on the continent, the middle passage (which itself was beyond horrific, but typically limited to a few weeks if one survived it), slavery in the United States (primarily in heavy agricultural and other unpleasant, dangerous and life-shortening work), Reconstruction, Jim Crow and the Civil Rights struggle.
Now that all those formal, legal barriers are gone, we tell them, "But you still can't make it without the white man's help."

She ain’t going anywhere, and this story is crap. Where else are people gonna go where they get free food, clothes, housing, bogus disability and welfare checks, aren’t required to work, make illegal money indiscriminately and unchecked, get free college party time, and can basically live like kings - just for being black.

This whole situation (especially reparations) is ridiculous. If you want Juneteenth and the 1619 bullshite then you damn well better include Liberia. If you didn't take that boat ride back then you forfeited all rights to seek reparations.
