This is 100% true. I have no idea why they kept saying this would be the coldest air of the season with a forecast low of 30. I've been scratching my head about that for days now.

Yep. Every school shut down in the area. Businesses closed. For. No. Damn. Reason.

He'll praise himself, along with many other meteorologist s, on being able to interpret the computer model data, yet when nothing happens they'll use that same data as an excuse on why they bombed.
It's fairly evident that something was going to be different last night. It was 55 degrees at 11 pm around here. The whole snow forecast was based on it being cold enough first. The 55 was about 5-10 degrees warmer than expected. So, that should have been a major red flag. It was also warmer yesterday afternoon than expected. Another red flag.
But, they just ran along with some over expectations.
Good for ratings, though.

I bought a gallon of milk last night so I could eat some cereal and put milk in coffee if I was snowed in for a few days.

For the record, I follow 2 different meteorologists on social media that I can take somewhat seriously. I know half of you know Zack Fradella, but I also follow Larry Cosgrove. Both of whom really don’t feed much bullshite.

They’re both saying it’s the next system that has a better possibility of frozen precip. A CHANCE. Didn’t say it was going to happen becuase it’s too far out. That was a few days ago. They may have changed their stance since then.

Here is the thing.

99% of the population isn't splitting the atom or curing cancer.

One day off is no big deal. Here is the factor, demanding employees to commute on possible closed roads is a huge liability for companies.

Insurance will not cover your vehicle on a closed road. Employee sues employer for requiring them to work(if they wreck).

Take the day off. It's that simple.
