Snow , between 5-7am in Eunice.

Corporate offices closed. Probably other locations as well but they get different communications. Grabbed my laptop, a bottle of 100 proof Old Forester on the way home, and plan to do roughly between 3 and 4 hours of work from home tomorrow. Then enjoy the children playing in the snow.

Yeah I don't see why there is any backlash. People can barely drive in perfect weather. If there is potential for frozen roads people don't need to be out and about.

Yeah, and I'm leaning toward that idea. Crankyweatherguy is posting some good stuff on twitter, and I'm going to steal an image that might explain why the HRRR is losing the moisture.

The big northern low cut north quicker than expected and the result is the cold front not being forced south as hard. The result is the southern energy isn't getting the kick from the front as soon. In short, less energy coming together.
We're looking to slam what not great moisture we have available into the front. The front slower and with less of a push, less ability to squeeze out the moisture. Less rain. No snow. For BR at least. At least that's what I'm thinking now, we'll see how the whole thing develops in the next couple of hours.
ETA:
This looks pretty reasonable. Note the area around Birmingham might be a little low due to hilliness.

Roads don't freeze the instant water touches the pavement when temp is 32.

Do you have any clue what’s going to happen in north la, particularly Ruston/lincoln Parish?
