MASH

Say goodbye to those "antibacterial" soaps. The Food and Drug Administration says they do little or nothing to make soap work any better and said the industry has failed to prove they're safe.

"Washing with plain soap and running water remains one of the most important steps consumers can take to avoid getting sick and to prevent spreading germs to others," the FDA said.

Hell yes! Plenty of studies out there show these soaps just make you sicker as it kills off the good bacteria on your skin that helps prevent the bad bacteria from finding a home on your skin. This is great news.

We did the antibacterial soap test in microbiology back in college. The liquid antibacterial dial soap killed everything on the agar plate in its quadrant and part of another.

When shite got real we used turpentine to wash our hands where I grew up.

Apparently, nothing lives through a dousing of turpentine.

Going to stock up on enough dial soap to last me till I die. I think they are taking the antibacterial soap out because they are effective and result in lower number of skin infections needing antibiotics. I always wondered about Iodine and Mercurochrome. Grew up on those, no problems.
