As a kid I watched the a team all the time after school and would get PISSED when they hit absolutely no one every time they shot

What would a pro use?
I threw an ETA in my post because I thought the pic was of the rifle used yesterday. Disregard.

The GI Joe cartoon enraged me for the same reason.

But the Mini-14 looked so cool while missing.

That looks like a cheap special off grabagun.com. Not as likely that a family member that actually hunted or gave a crap about rifles would own that thing.

When I heard Mauser I was thinking of an old arse gun that had notches in stock for every deer killed.

As far as what a pro would use,IDK. But if it were me it would be something I could break down quickly and not have to leave at the scene.

It feels like a hunting rifle wouldn’t be easy to conceal. I’m confused as to how he was able to leave the roof with it.

He either jammed it up his tranny arse or he wrapped it in a towel like law enforcement already said. Take your pick.

On a college campus.... maybe in one of those baseball bags that hold bats and what not? Not a whole lot of inconspicuous methods.

Wtf is a forearm print?

Also finger prints aren’t usually left behind on firearms. More likely on some materials versus others but in general it’s rare to find prints on a gun.

And if he’s never been arrested before he’s not going to show up anywhere unless he had a job he had to be fingerprinted for which I doubt.

My point was he was a trained shooter, no amateur is pulling that shot off.

Some construction worker witness that was interviewed by CNN says the guy had long greasy hair. Guy in the pic doesn’t seem to have long greasy hair. Maybe the construction worker was wrong about that.

In my defense you didn't express that clearly. Here's what you said:
quote:

of course it was a trained assassin. One shot only, then disappears quickly. No amateur is doing that.

To me that reads as "of course it was a trained assassin. One shot only, then disappears quickly. No amateur is doing that."

DNA off the gun (if available) will absolutely prove what family the shooter belonged to... combined with circumstantial facts, will prove beyond a reasonable account of who the shooter is

It's been decades since I shot a rifle (I do shoot other guns regularly) and right now I'm looking out my front window at the road about 200 yards down my driveway with a 60 foot elevation drop. I guarantee that with a little practice I could hit somebody standing at the road with a rifle shot. The only training I have is my dad showing me how to shoot when I was a kid.
