They probably followed him on multiple security cameras.
I'm no Colombo, though.

You're aware of how ridiculous this sounds, right?

wonder what makes them think this is the guy?
They mentioned a stairwell was used after the shooting I think. Looks like he’s on his way up to the roof here
Timing probably has him coming down after the shot

Fairly clear pics. If this is him he's cooked.

You’re aware it’s confirmed right?

What’s the shirt showing? Something over the American flag that kinda looks like a gun, but it’s not clear? Did he dress up in disguise to blend in with the Charlie Kirk crowd?

I thought it was an eagle

yeah, looks like he tried to match the aesthetic of the crowd
or what someone like him envisions the aesthetic of the crowd to be

Weapon was an older Mauser 30.06, that screams family hunting rifle to me, either passed down to the kid by a father/grandfather, or still presently owned by the father/grandfather
The kid knew how to shoot and operate the gun
Utah
All of that screams conservative home to me. A blue hair/trans that didn't know about weapons would've likely procured an AR15 (muh assault weapon) and fired as much as possible towards Kirk and the crowd and then probably committed suicide or been killed by police.
This dude made one shot and bailed, he had a plan and he was there to silence Kirk specifically, thus he clearly hated the things Kirk stood for.
Just my random opinions, I could be way off.

Scrawling enough to constitute some expression of "ideology" on the small, rounded casing of a bullet seems pretty preposterous.
As to confirmation, I'll wait until there are at least pictures before I entertain this as "fact."

Hey man I would rock an American flag eagle shirt to a Charlie event. Unironically

I'm not a gun person and I know next to nothing about them, but if that's prior to the shooting wouldn't the gun be visible? Or did he stash it somewhere prior?

No one cares what you entertain or don’t. your stupid theories on what is already confirmed are better suited for Reddit

it’s already been confirmed.
You’ve also conveniently forgotten about Luigi Mangione engraving bullet casings he left behind after executing that CEO.
