Forgot about Super Popeye's on Veterans in Metairie, next to Steak and Ale (I know, a chain joint). They had fajitas and stuff, what a mix and match, chicken fajitas and Popeye's onion rings.

Solomons on the strip. Steamed sandwiches. My favorite was ham and swiss with spicy mustard.

Also Bama Bino pizza.

Related (spinoff potential) it is amazing how far I could stretch $50 in college without ever going to the grocery store. $1.99 campus Mr Gatti's buffet (same re Godfather's on Chimes), $1.99 Shoneys breakfast buffet, .29 tacos, (gas for well under a dollar a gallon to get to these places) free food at work (valet and waiter and office junk), the muffuletta in the union that was four big sandwiches in one, a similarly absurd loaded baked potato, various drinkin w Lincolns, quarter shots at Sports, free drinks at the tiger, free food at superior grill happy hour (and 2:1 margs).

I don't think I'm even at $50 yet and I'm really full and hammered.

Plan on going to the LSU-Auburn game next fall. Auburn --of all places-- has a Shakey's.

Panchos - Raising the flag was fun.

What was the name of the pizza place by Jack Hood Jewlers on Florida at Villa Del Ray? I remember them having a cool projector and video games.

Also Mr Gattis. The north gate community isn't as poor or broke as I was apparently. Neither is the South Gate community. I can't believe what you students live in now.
