For me, it's his very first in the "Civil War" series. Listening to Shelby Foote and his historical expertise on the subject, speaking in his baritone voice with that southern drawl was perfect.
The narration, the reading of many of the letters and journal entries from soldiers fighting on both sides was amazing, especially how they used language in many of those letters that people today don't emulate.
Some of those letters expressed the horrors of war and their missing their loved ones so eloquently, only to be followed up by a telegram from the War Department that the soldier had been killed in action.

I watched the Vietnam documentary a few months ago. I am an Iraq vet and Vietnam was the ultimate cluster. I have nothing but respect for those men. frick. That. shite.
