This is the first year I've had a Costco membership. I've had a Sam's one for a few years. Costco food court and other items have disappointed me. The food court has a good hotdog but everything else sucks. Sam's has better variety of pizza and their pretzels are awesome. Costco's organic stuff is way more expensive and just unnecessary in a lot of things. Not to mention the Costco app sucks and they don't have scan and go

Costco seems to have this cult like following. I have memberships to both, but shop mostly at Sams. The prices on almost everything that is similar are better, plus I get at least $200 in cash back.

I do buy the Kirland coffee because it's Green Mountain and cheaper than Sams. I find most things higher at Costco, but still go there once a month or so.

Recipe for my nuts: Member Mark Deluxe nuts w sea salt and Member Marks Pecan halves.

Bathe pecan halves in olive oil, toast in the oven just till they begin to caramelize. Mix into the Sea Salt mixed nuts. Add Members Mark pistachios if you like.

Quite tasty.

Friend,

TulaneLSU’s current Top 10 food items at Sam’s:

10. Eight fresh cinnamon rolls
9. Jars of artichoke hearts
8. Five pack fresh avocados
7. Members Mark Better Nut bars
6. Double Doozie cookie cake
5. Six pack of Romaine lettuce hearts
4. 14 oz Del Luca prosciutto
3. Two one pound packages of fresh mootz
2. Fresh strawberries
1. Fresh blueberries

I no longer buy seafood at Sam’s due to Sams systematic fraud on seafood weights

You may also find this thread comparing Sams to Walmart helpful.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

We have both. Wife gets Sam’s membership free from work.

Haven’t been to Sam’s in years. Maybe it’s different in other areas, but the quality of “shopper” at Sam’s is noticeably lacking.

Some of the staple foods we buy at Costco are:

Pulled pork
Loaded potato salad
Kirkland's canned chicken
Kirkland's extra virgin olive oil
Bags of walnuts
Bags of almonds
Frozen Sirloin Beef patties

Surprisingly, our small town WDG grocery store has a butcher dept that routinely has sales on good cuts of sirloin, ribeye, t-bone, ribs, and more for around $4.99 a pound. The meats seem better and about half of the price or better than Publix, Kroger, Walmart and Costco.

The clientele and workers at Sam's are far below Costco I'll give you that for sure

Never been to Costco

Haven't been to Sam's in quite a few months. Last time they still had two great deals:

16" pizza for $9. Tastes great too.

HUGE Rotisserie chicken for $5

I presume they've both gone up. Was at WM this week & rot chicks are $7. WM OJ, $1.74 under Trump, is now $3.74

The apple pie from Costco is delicious, but they don't have it all the time anymore

Unbelievable how eaten up with politics some of you are. It's really sad what has happened to so many folks. A conversation about food at Sam's and Costco and here comes idiot that can't control himself. I hate politics.

Seriously....take a break from social media and news channels.

I go at 8am. No issues with lots of people. I do wish costco opened earlier.

Still that way at both, and agree with other poster who said the one at Sam's is tastier.
