Except large gatherings are allowed for protests

So he can only make recommendations? We see that he has made many recommendations. But he can’t make a recommendation regarding protests?

If he is an infectious disease expert, he should be able to make recommendations on any large gathering situation. The dynamics of spread are the same. Why does he ball at protests?

We know why, but the marxists mfers in this thread cheer the dishonesty on. Man, it’s going to be a bad day when I come across one of these guys in real life and their mouth filter stops working at the most inoppurtune time.

Dr. Fauci is a hypocrite. At the 30-35 second mark of this video, Jim Jordan asks if the government should limit protests. He replies that he is not in a position to determine what the government should do forcibly. Yet, in an interview with In Style magazine, he takes a position. MSN publishes this article just 2 weeks ago. So what has changed his position?

Quote, "Many states across the country have been taking measures to pause or roll back on their reopening plans, but Anthony Fauci, MD, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), says there's one place that should be closed across the country: bars. "We need to really take seriously the issue of wearing masks all the time and not congregating in bars," Fauci said in a new interview with InStyle. "I think we can stop that by just closing [bars] because they are certainly an important mechanism of this spread."

So, what does every local, state government do? Close the bars.

Oh yeah, he has a postion on churches also.

It’s a crying shame that he is dealing with this political garbage. Someone should have stepped in and slapped that idiot. Fauci is obviously a stand up guy who is just looking to help.

Dude is a fraud. He’s example #1 of someone who’s been cashing fat checks for decades as some “expert” who hasn’t dealt with shite.

Now during a real pandemic, he’s failed at every turn. He continues to show he’s in way over his head. Type A government bureaucrat.

And in typical liberal fashion the left makes him a hero instead of trying to hold him accountable.

Fauci doesn't want his family to receive death threats or have his home burned down

smart man to avoid the question...

but he did say

Large gathers should be avoided, especially if they are not wearing masks"

...."interpret that as you will"

yes it's political...

everyone is afraid of the mob, including those who support their cause

Fauci is either grossly incompetent or misleading the country for political power for a certain party.

Yet somehow he’s a media icon.

I think it's funny how Fauci is looked upon as some type of hero or supreme authority. Yes he has a position of authority but if you look back on things he has said about the virus.. he was wrong. Fauci was answering questions with no knowledge of this particular strain of virus and that seems to be forgotten by people. He was "advising" Trump and it almost seems as a set up for Trump to fail.

It is not faucis duty to say if we should curb protesters or not...his expertise is in the field of infectious disease, not law enforcement or political policy. He could easily tell you whether Covid is potentially spread or not through protest activities...though he may not be allowed to do so.

That clip makes my blood boil. He’s not in a position to give guidance to the government as to what they should and should not do?? Could have fooled me the last several months. The funny thing is that’s the truest thing he’s ever said. He’s not in a position to tell the government anything so he should stfu or be canned. Our biggest misstep from the get go has been letting a couple bureaucrat scientists tell us anything about what we’re going to do. I hate to say it but it’s been Trump’s biggest failure in his first term.

Yet he freely and willingly chose to give his opinion on whether bars should close, sports should take place, and on and on.

Get outta’ here with that nonsense.
