He had some interesting remarks about the protests and direct problems they cause but dodges whether we should curb them.
Could be he's smart enough to know that if he outright tells protesters not to protest, they will protest even more because "the man" told them not to

You're gonna need to bump that percentage up a good bit, baw.

Oh it's WAY over 50% white, probably around 65% chalky white.

I meant the part about it not being racist, unless I misunderstood what you were directing that towards. The protests are clearly just a majority of white guilt knights trying to virtue signal their way out of being branded a racist because of their white skin color.

"curbing protests" is how Hitler got his start.

Don't think he should be answering questions on what the federal govt should do about people protesting.

Well if you google anything with people in it for Portland its going to be 90%+ white.

But to your question, its not the people its the "movement"

if you, as a public official, tell them to stop, you are deemed a racists, fascists, etc... There is no logic about it. Just like the protest

I mean the city is lily-white. Of course that's going to be the case.

I mean if anyone knows what's best for black people it's crunchy white people living in an overwhelmingly white city in an overwhelmingly white part of the country.

Which is why I said that it should come from the top (Trump), and then trickle down to the governors and then mayors having his back. A collective effort. But the problem is that everybody is so fricking anti-Trump that he could say up and they would say down just to spite him. He's already come out and denounced the protests and even called in backup to help the police, and now he's being criticized for that. Obama made a passive underhanded smartass remark about it in his speech yesterday. Referring to brutality against "peaceful protests", at which the audience stood up and gave him an ovation for. I was so pissed I was shaking and couldn't find the remote to turn it off fast enough. I was triggered, for real.

It's a smart virus, it knows when you are standing up for injustices and skips to the Trump rallies to target American black conservatives.

Yeah it's like that all the time. Nothing cracks me up more than some white liberal from a lilly-white part of the country lecturing us in the south as a bunch of racist hicks. It's easy to be all "kumbaya My Lord" when you're basking in whiteness everywhere. Even the blacks in those parts are whiter than a lot of our whites here.

Are you referring to the "Eulogy/Funeral" otherwise known as a political convention? They chastised trump so much for his rallies but have no problem with their own

Then he shouldn’t be answering questions about going to church or football games

You can’t say it’s ok to protest but not ok to go to church

Yes. The one in which he said that 100 years from now, John Lewis will be a "founding forefather" of our nation.
