Did he say it was okay to protest?

You as an individual can go to church whenever you please.

Do what? Churches have been closed for a long time. Maybe not where you live but nearly everywhere else

He said it contributes to the spread of Covid, which is more than most government officials have said. He then went on to say it wasn't his job to tell the government what they should or should not forcefully do (i.e. limit protesting).

ETA: Basically some dildo is trying to catch him in a gotcha moment about saying protests should allowed, but churches should be closed, even though it isn't his call to allow or close anything. He just makes recomendations.

It's amazing right? How can they not see the hypocrisy in this:

Jordan: Should we limit the protests?

Fauci: I'm not in a position to determine what the government can do in a forceful way.

Yet this guy is the one leading the guidance on shutting down businesses and forcing people to wear masks.

Pretty sure his mask mandate was forceful and he's part of the government

I guarantee if the question was whether or not we should limit going to bars, churches, beaches, etc.; he would have had an answer for that.

Jim Jordan should have said, “Do you think it is a bad idea to protest?” Don’t let him hide behind the fact that it’s not his job to make those decisions.

He's already said it concerns him seeing the protests and that a surge in cases could result from protesting, so he sort of already answered that question.

I agree with this part even though he still dodged using the word protest, instead saying crowds but you it's basically him saying it without saying it.

This I don't agree with. Do you really think the congressman expected him to say shut down the protests? The point of the entire line of questioning to point out the hypocrisy and politicizing of the entire saga(virus, protests).
I'm sure there was some hope he could catch Fauci off guard(which he did) enough to slip up and say something that says "gotcha"(he didn't). But I seriously doubt he expected it.
As for Faucis recommendations, he could recommend that the protests be neutralized but it wouldn't be a good move for him. As much grief as the man gets, deservedly, he didn't get to his position as the American authority on corona guidelines by being dumb or stupid. He's bought and paid for by people that you might not want to cross after taking their money.

While true the governor's did, the supposed conservative Supreme Court validated their ability to. Casinos over church as mentioned by the congressman. Quite a few conservatives conveniently leave that part out.

He has made a lot of recommendations. Why wouldn't recommend not protesting?

Try to keep up , libtard.
