It’s in the back row away from the camera. I was looking everywhere close up for the culprits. They lift the glass at the 49 second mark.

As someone who collects cards, sells, and trades --- the sheer fact I had to be so aware of my booth was annoying. kids trying to be slick. adults trying to do a slight of hand. having to know my big card that are graded - serial #s

There's speculation within the community that its a grandfather, not father.
A couple of things. There have been a lot of well publicized thefts at these shows. With that booth setup he should've had it locked. Also, this was in the international hall upstairs. It was more like a standard show up there than in the main floor.
At least they have footage. Hopefully there's some identifying number attached to the card. Though its likely that it was quickly sold downstairs or is going in that kids collection.

That is pretty dumb to leave a $15,000 card that accessible. Not saying it's right but owner needs to be less dumb!
I went to our shop on Friday and the owner just threw down a Superfractor for me to look at and walked away. Knowing how to read people is important in what has become an investment vehicle/lottery ticket business above a hobby.

If you’ve never been to one of these big shows, you wouldn’t believe the prices of some of the cards. There are cases full of old babe ruth, Ty Cobb, etc and every card is worth as much as a house- $250k+ , jerseys priced in the millions, a mickey mantle card that sold for 13 million, etc.
And across the aisle will be a guy selling $1 cards.
There was a $2 million case stolen from the Dallas show last year.

These ‘AI Enhanced’ shots of people’s faces taken from blurry security footage never look like what they actually look like. Sure, they know it’s an older white guy, but I wouldn’t take any stock in any facial features. Just look at his hat and you can tell detail isn’t really ‘real’ in that picture.
