Let me guess…
You’re a minority and you can’t stand the fact that people are saying this was a good outcome
Good people are sick and tired of having their shite stolen from them. People work hard for what they have and these a-hole criminals have been running around without fear of consequences for far too long

Gonna be hard to admit self defense when you admit to shooting at a car that’s driving away.

Legally, yes.
I would think most juries would do a nullification on killing a catalytic converter thief.
Transportation can be a matter of life or death and sacks of shite like this are disabling cars in order to steal shite for scrap value. Sympathy would be on the family’s side.

Oh we don't feel much different about a thief either. But you must know the law, and be able to apply it in seconds, with your " ought to be " opinions put away.

My opinions match those of Bronn on Game Of Thrones.
“With the siege impending, I took it upon myself to bring in all of the known thieves.”
“For questioning?”
“No. Now we just have to worry about the unknown thieves.”

There's a pawn shop in Florida Parish with a sign out front that says "We buy catalytic converters." I want to burn it to the ground every time I drive by.

Not all human lives hold the same value.

As long as it's not your stuff. We see you.

Investigators believe the two men found Pierson near their car when they confronted him. That's when it's believed Pierson got into his own car to leave, but the suspects shot and killed him, causing his car to crash.

The documents also reveal the father and son said they fired at the tires of the Jeep as he drove away.
I'm as happy as anybody that the converter thief got what he deserved but if this is the case I'd imagine it's going to be hard for them to defend the shooting.

They were defending their property. Second degree murder is an overcharge. This is manslaughter at best.

While I don't agree with it,those guys will be in jail for a while. There's a guy here in town who was woken up at like 1am from the doorbell. Told his wife to get his gun. Goes to the door and opens it a little and the guy says they broke down and needs to use their phone. Somehow, he saw another guy holding a rifle so he tells the guy to hold on. He flings the door open and starts blasting. He kills the guy with the rifle(ended up being an AK-47) and the unarmed one ran back to his car. Dude was so shook that he had his car in neutral trying to take off. The homeowner put a few more bullets in him, then finally the car takes off and the guy dies down the road.
The homeowner got arrested because these two guys never entered(or even tried to enter) his home. He had to go to court and spent a shite town of money fighting it. Ended up not guilty only because of the AK-47. If they didn't have a gun, he would be in jail for a long time.
Do I agree with this? HELL NO. But it shows you how the system works.

I think you are looking at it wrong and are more concerned about a criminal.
Those teens in New Orleans just stole a couple of things until that one time they escalated it and killed an older woman over her personal property.
frick you and frick these shite bag criminals. Get a fricking job.
