You ever think all the models that predicted 100-200k deaths had social distancing measures built in? Because they did
We didn't stop with the measures built in to those models.

inefficient system
Just because it’s better than the shite systems other people have doesnt mean it’s problem free. Inefficiencies are the number one problem with it.

Don’t the lungs repair themselves over time?

agree, pro sports will suffer all the way through summer
Question, do you think fall sports will be played in empty stadiums?

If you did the imagining on these lungs fair but you did not so it is not believable nothing is believable anymore but the death stats and those will be fudged for reimbursement $$$ and by putting crap out here like that is feeding the narrative of bullshite. Healthcare & politicians that grandstand on that corona hill you will die on that hill. Is it real yes. Go back to Boston and tech your jack arse cops how to shoot a gun.

Yes, IMO, mostly because of lawyers and fears of getting sued

Wouldn't surprise me if they start empty but allow fans back in later in the year. Not sure if it comes to that.

To be fair, this would be alot different if you broke these down by state. Some states like the Dakotas, West Virginia, Alaska and a few others would be a whole lot lower. Matter of fact, idk how much it has changed now, but a few days ago I checked and atleast half of the US is still under the 100 death mark.
On the other hand, New York is probably just as high as Italy is, and New Jersey not too far behind. Everyone was so busy calling Louisiana the next Italy, meanwhile Louisiana seems to have leveled off and it was New York all alone that everyone needed to be worried about.

I wish the OPs graph had sweden
Or California, whatever they've done has worked like a charm.
Unlike Sweden etc. . . . California had tons of travel from China, has huge, densely populated urban areas etc. . .
Deaths Per 100K
SWEDEN = 10
CALIFORNIA = 2

New York has blown straight past Italy (to be fair, don't know if it exceeds Milan/Lombardy)
NY state - 478 deaths/million

That’s not “fair” unless you break the other countries down by region.

Break the EU down by country and it is essentially the same as breaking the US down by states.

If the state is a large enough player it's probably fair enough. CA/TX/NY and the like have a large enough population to be compared with some of the mid-range Euro countries (all three + FL would slot in between the Ukraine and Romania and take over 9th-12th on the Euro population list), pushing a few Western European countries down the list (Belgium/Netherlands/Greece/Portugal/Sweden)
LA vs. Italy wasn't a fair fight.
