Fatal Shooting in St. Roch Neighborhood

person was shot to death in the St. Roch neighborhood on Tuesday (May 10), NOPD said, in an incident reported shortly after noon in the 1600 block of Marigny Street.
The victim's body could be seen, face down on the street in front of a black truck. His black t-shirt looked to be pulled up toward his chest, exposing one bullet wound in his lower back.

On average, the numbers show what? About 3 murders a week? Summer time is near. temperatures go up so do the crimes.. So.. We are on pace.

Statistically true for anyone under the age of 40 or so easily.
Not sure what was going on in the 60s etc.
Look at 1990s murder numbers north of 400 a year compared to 150 now. Still work to do of course.

Haha I just remembered, ask Pox because I told her about it, but the other day when I was over there, literally 3 blocks from where this happened I met an eight year old kid with a grinder, breaking up his buds and ha had a split cigar about to roll himself a blunt. Swear to god haha I stopped at talked to him for a second just for the novelty of it
