Fast food prices are legitimately insane and untenable; corporations panic

A recent study done by the firm FinanceBuzz found average fast food prices have risen between 39%-100% from 2014-2024. Increases that criminally outpaced their primarily go to excuses of inflation during the period. McDonalds has had the highest increase compared to other chains with popular menu items rising often to the highest recorded total of 100% increases. Earlier this year McDonalds sparked a national outrage when in a Connecticut location they charged 18$ plus tax for a big max combo. This is the same company that made over 14 billion in pure profit last year.
Companies are now panicked now that people are widely done with their bullshite prices with worse food quality and service and looking to find ways to bring back value meals

Inflation is controlled by the suppliers who are controlled by fast food corporations. They all suck together. The only way any change will actually be done is if people stop buying the stuff altogether.
Now that every company has an app to place orders with "deals" and "rewards" it makes the shite so hard to avoid.

Coupons and mobile apps are the only sensible way if you really want fast food. I don’t know about other people but once a month everyone around here still gets Burger King and Subway coupons in the mail. One coupon for Subway is 3 foot longs for $18, same goes for Burger King when it comes to the value of the coupons.

I’ve had subway more recently than I used to simply because of coupons and the app. I can select my same order, apply a coupon, swing by dollar general to get a bag of chips, then pick it up all in 10 mins.

bullshite. Fatties are still going. Criminal price increases? How about criminal increases in minimum wages? Morons thinking burger flipping and fryer operating are worth $15- $20/hr. States like California that are driving up the cost of transportation in attempting to regulate diesel trucks out of existence. Companies are going to pass all the costs to the consumers one way or another, consumers should be smarter about who they vote for and their policies. Won't happen though, they'll cry about the prices while still stuffing their mouths...

Any downvotes wanna somehow explain or justify away this as actually a good thing like the simp Biden voters you are?

I downvoted you because your thread sucks and you're a shitty writer.

Lol explain how it sucks? It provides factual information over a 10 year time frame reflective in all of our anecdotal experiences. Also point out any “writing flaws” as you see them as this is a message board after all not a place for a dissertation. You just sound like a fig
Definitely a fig and a communist

remember in 2020 and into 2021 whenever any place that sold chicken (particularly Canes, Chick-fil-a, and all of the popular wing places), said that the price increase was just temporary in order to keep up with the cost at the time?
edit: other than Pluckers.... they have always been sky high on their prices

Same here. Went to Subway Tuesday with a coupon; two footlongs for $12.99. Got a tuna and a cold cut combo, both loaded with all the veggies.
The tuna was dinner for the 3 of us Tuesday with some fruit and we had the cold cut combo tonight.
Subway catches a lot of crap, but the local 1 is pretty good here.

Where do y’all get these coupons? Their mobile app?

But so many of these motherfrickers are raising just because they can blend in with inflation.
That's the ones that will get found out in the long run.

Here, they send them out in the mail. Usually Arby's, Subway, Captain D's and Burger King. A page of coupons for each place. We mostly only use The Subway ones now and then.

Mate, this does not sound like a healthy meal

Predictable side effect of every fast food worker wanting $20/hour. Money has to come from somewhere and that somewhere is the consumer.

frick McDonalds and all the other shitty fast food joints with their garbage quality and high prices. It’s time for people to go back to supporting the local burger joints where you can get a badass half pound burger and fries for 10-12 bucks on a grill that hasn’t been properly cleaned in 30 years haha

My uncle owns three Zaxby’s franchises. I asked him if business was down he said no. I asked him if his costs were up he said yes. I said what gives? He told me what I already know that people are addicted to fast food and will basically pay whatever they have to to get it. He has a pal that owns several McDonalds who told him it wouldn’t matter if a Big Mac was $20 because there is a large segment of America that will still pay it because they are addicted. I believe it. Everyone is fat and lazy it seems.
