Please make it stop. Everyone wants tips for doing nothing and now they want charity money. Taco Bell is the worst offender.

"Your total is 13.67. Would you like to round up to $14 for charity?"

frick that. You're a multi-million dollar corporation, how about YOU donate to charity?

Yep and I’m pretty sure if you let them round up they get the tax break for their “charity donations”. McDonald’s has been doing this same crap over the last year.

They do. Also pretty much any charity they are going to be donating to is going to a scam itself. Very few big name charities that are actually worth giving money to

They don’t. It’s tax fraud.

Ignore electronic requests. I can imagine your undergrad GPA that you hit Taco Bell so often. They also are not making you round up, if they *ask* you if you want to donate. So, what, again?

If I get asked in person, I just answer, "I paid tens of thousands in taxes, I'm good." That's probably a phrase you won't utter for quite a white.

They cannot write off point of sale donations, at least not legally. You, however, can deduct them if you itemize.

Panda Express has done this shite for years. Seems like I always get the cold leftover fried rice too every time I say no.

And especially those Catholic charities working on human trafficking across the border. Not that they're "small," but...

Even better is lately I have had several times when I paid for things in cash and had the cashier say "do you want your change?" Not a penny or two but on a total of $1.40 or $23.56 or such. frick yes I want that money. It's mine.
