Farmerville woman arrested for attempted murder

SPEARSVILLE, La. (KNOE) - A Union Parish woman is behind bars after an alleged attempted murder.
Chelsea Shoemaker was arrested and faces one count of attempted first-degree murder after an alleged shooting.
On Wednesday, narcotics agents say they responded to a domestic dispute between Shoemaker, 45, and James Herbbring, 40. Police say Herbbring and Shoemaker got into a physical fight at another location.
Officials say Shoemaker then rode her motorcycle to the auto repair shop in Spearsville where the shooting took place. Sheriff Dusty Gates says the shot missed its target and hit a car. No injuries were reported.
Police searched Shoemaker and found meth and drug paraphernalia.
She is also charged with aggravated damage to property, domestic abuse battery, possession of methamphetamine, resisting an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Shoemaker is currently being held without bond.
James Hebbring was also booked and charged with domestic abuse battery. His bail is set at $5,000.
