On a related matter, I learned from personal experience that Delta Airlines will not allow you to change seats if you are sitting next to a screaming child if the child is yours.

The pediatrician’s office.

This sort of comes up at ours too but they see him without issue once I get past the front desk. It's a clinic for all ages so whatever.

He's been getting his vaccinations at 18 months and 2 years so I was prepared for them to make a scene. "You rather they die from a real disease for their age like measles?" Didn't get to use it

I mean... their policy is children over 2. So either the child is not actually 2, or united really fricked up here.

They'll just revert the plane back to the airport and you'll get taken off.

Kids today have zero respect for authority. Terrible parenting...

I actually know someone who went to high school with the mom. Said that she definitely curated it for the attention.

You can introduce the kid to the mask a few days before the flight. The flight attendant came over and said he had given them an opportunity to correct the issue. It doesn’t seem like anyone on the plane really defended them when they were removed either.

Definitely feels like you take that risk if you are flying certain airlines, and you have to know the policies for that specific airline. Agree it’s difficult for younger kids to wear masks, but you have to be aware that you may not be able to have the same travel plans if your kid is unable to follow the guidelines.

I mean rules are rules and you know this before you book your flight but this is a stupid arse rule.

First off, just strictly following the science 2 year olds have little to no chance of carrying and transmitting the coronavirus.

Second off, I have flown a couple times since Covid and they pass out snacks and water and you’re able to take off your mask.

They need to modify the rules but I can’t necessarily blame them for enforcing their rules that are in place.

It isn't that hard. Speaking from experience. And I am a shite parent.

I thought kids under a certain age where exempt from wearing a mask? When did this change?

Undoubtedly this is the result of some angry old sky hag that's pissed that her job has turned into sky janitor. Seriously, I've flown twice on American this year and they just walk up and down the isles asking for any trash you have and telling you to put your mask on. Even when you're drinking water!

Since the person you know was fat and ugly in HS while this chick was head cheerleader banging the QB, I’m not surprised they would feel this way.

Hell yeah. Would’ve been pumped if I was nearby to know I wouldn’t have to worry about another crying kid mid flight.

What a drama Queen. I blame the parents . The child should be taught how to wear a mask, sit quietly and behave. Obviously poor parenting. Looks like a kid throw into daycare. Good luck at ages 13-19. Good for the airline.

Without covid the airline would allow the little shite to kick the back of your seat and scream for the entire flight
