You should receive a copy of the will and notice of probate if they probate the will. If you think they are bluffing then probate the estate as if he died intestate.

If he only rented what all is in the Will? Is it enough to be worried about? I guess if they supposedly faked it there better be. But I’d start there for sure.

Sorry for your loss I know it hurts. There is no better judge of a person's character than how the conduct themselves over an inheritance.
My bitch SIL, upon learning of her dad's death from my wife, who was taking care of him, SIL made a beeline for his house with a truck to load up on valuable antiques. Karma is a bitch, a few months later, using money from the estate she hid from her husband, she got so drunk she died of a cerebral hemorrhage.

Happened with my father too. One of his best friends left the hospital to break into his home and steal a duck hunting shotgun while the remainder of us encircled my dad's hospital bed as he took his dying breaths. Made my blood boil when I found out. I relayed a message through another of dad's friends the next day that if we ever crossed paths I'd break his teeth. Haven't seen him since. Sad part is I would've given him the damned gun if he would've simply asked.
