Family 4th of July Plans in BR where I won't get shot

So me and the kids are gonna be looking for some firework action but I don't wanna get capped in downtown BR. Anything else going on that's family friendly and maybe allows ice chests?

I’m sure you can watch fireworks from the levee downtown by the USS Kidd. Then walk down to 3rd St. for pizza at Schlittz and Giggles. You probably won’t die.

No standing on the levee this year or sitting on other side. Access will be blocked due to river level. Although it has dropped a lot in the last week.
