Disagree. Love a beard but the maintenance starts to become an issue and it kind of sucks.

Shampoo it every time you shampoo your head.

Keep the neck trimmed. I've had a beard for 16 years now and even I won't grow hair on my neck 4 more than 3 or 4 days

Im just messing with you. I think anything goes today. I was rocking handlebars a few weeks ago just for the hell of it. I looked stupid, so I just kept them through the weekend...

I notice that the younger guys seem to have beards is this the reason why?

It was laziness originally. But my skin has become much more sensitive the older I've gotten.

I'm 32 now, and when I shave I get horrendous razor burn. Especially on my neck. It'll be red for 2 days after, and I'll have scabbed-over bumps that last for 2 weeks sometimes. Just plain sucks all around. Looks and feels terrible.

At this point I've had a full beard for over 10 years. I do trim the neck, but I use clippers. It's never 100% clean shaven.

So it’s trimmed and not a lengthy thing?

I don't have much of a beard despite not shaving. I trim it with clippers about once or twice per week with a #2 guard. I do my neck with no guard.

All of my facial hair is salt and pepper grey now. It would probably be a pretty wicked looking beard if I grew it out

You’re 53 and using “baws”

I don’t think there’s much more I can add to this thread..

Whenever my hair (and facial hair) starts getting grey, I am dying it.

I don’t see how people can wear beards and it annoy the hell out them. I had a full beard close to 30 years ago and I looked like a damned terrorist.
I’d never be allowed on an airliner the way I looked then.

What kind of job still requires shaving in 2019?

Seriously, the only one i could think of is some kinda plant job where you have to wear a fresh air mask, and the only reason i know that is from watching that old movie Urban Cowboy, that’s the reason Travolta has to shave his beard in the beginning of the movie, haha
