What the F is the point of growing hair on your face when its over 85 degrees for most of the year??
My Dad used to say "Why cultivate on your face that which grows wild on your arse?"

It does it for me.

but its more natural to have hair on your head than your face?
They're both equally natural unless you can't grow a beard.

Never understood the logical reason to have facial hair in southern Louisiana other than for looks. What the F is the point of growing hair on your face when its over 85 degrees for most of the year??
My head is shaved and I have a full beard about 9 months out of the year. I've trimmed it down to the "designer stubble" stage a few times, but I haven't been completely clean shaven in quite a while.

I don't find it to be hot. I don't grow a long beard though. Usually shave it with a #2 guard

But it hurts, man. Like it's literally physically painful.
Shave it. You don't deserve a beard.

I guess that my shaved head helps keep me cool. My beard is full, but it's neatly trimmed and I shave my cheeks and neck daily, at the same time that I shave my head.

Yes. Properly taking care of your beard is akin to a trashy 5th grader edgy tattoo design on a shirt.
It's much cooler just to have your wiry beard all over the place.

That won't even be an issue if you stick with it.
What to do when you frick it up a little will be a real issue one day.

Give it time, keep it short.

I remember when I first great my beard. It'll itch for a few days.

I haven’t shaved since 2014. Last spring, when my wife was about 8 months pregnant, I was trimming it. Decided to go a little shorter. Grabbed the wrong guard. Thought I grabbed the 2 and grabbed the 1 instead. First time I had seen the skin in years. She said she was going to have to hold that baby in a few more weeks so I didn’t look like a child in pictures when he was born.
The itching subsided around 3-4 weeks. At least mine always has. I’ve grown it out several times over the years. Longest I went without trimming was maybe 5-6 weeks. It got really thick but never looked long. More bushy than hanging off my face. I absolutely hate shaving. The last time I shaved it off was the spring of 2014 when it was beginning to warm up. Of course two days later we get that typical late spring cold front where it’s in the 30s in the mornings and 70s in the afternoon. It was a cold walk in to work for a few days.
And it actually feels cool in the heat. I trim it with a 3 or 4 guard in the summer. When I’m doing yard work or running, it never feels hot.
