First "Hi-Res" video to come out was in B&W. It also saves storage space giving you longer runtime on the selected storage media

Our subs were equipped with hi-res BW cameras on the periscopes back in the mid 80's

You need to look at the HUD... The jet image on the artificial horizon to see how's he's maneuvering..

Awesome vid. Amen to the pilot. That a Heads up Display cam, the number dial to the right is the altitude when he was engaged he was bout mid 20k ft mark. You notice that after being engaged dived quickly. He started juking and stayed between 8500 and 12500 in that area while being engaged with the rest of them. Notice at one time or two you can see the SAM contrails as they pass him by. At one point you can see three contrails in the distance as he points in the direction of the SAMs going out. Another thing at one point it looks to where he tries to chase one but a SAM is to fast but his radar lock reticle has identified a target and it is trying to lock on but the target is to irratical. Notice the compass header on top of the HUD display and you can tell by him calling out and then him hard juking left right, I would think he is doing as soon as he sees the contrail coming at him that's when the first instinct to hard which ever way and launching counter measures, which are very hot and bright flares that are directed away from his turn which would try and break the heat lock from him to the countermeasures. But all in all he is a bad arse pilot because you need very very quick thinking and hand movements to get out of that pickle. The hard breathing you hear of him is he is counter breathing cause of the G forces that are smashing down on him, F-16s where aircraft that could pull a lot of Gs
And been known to gut there pilots. But watch it two or three times.
