Is it that people just don't give a shite about anyone else on the road any more or what?

What you assume is someone running on high beams is probably just low beams in a newer car. Most new cars switch high beams on and off automatically now.

They are raging assholes, they just don't realize their brights are on or both.

Are they not dimmed or are they those ridiculous arse LED lights that no one has angled correctly?

I don’t dim mine because I have an early 2010s vehicle and I’m consistently being blinded by every other vehicle on the road.

I suppose my response is not the correct mindset, but I figure if my brights aren’t going to blind someone as much as a 2024 trucks regular headlights I may as well just have them on constantly.

I do try to dim them when I can, but I’ve admittedly slacked off.

Cause frick you, that's why.

I like it when people shine their high beams at me thinking I'm on high beam. Then I turn on my high beams and really blind them.

They are gang members who wait for you to flash your brights at them then they chase you down and kill you.

My cousin's uncle's nephew's plumber said it's true! Pass it on!

Wasn't me...I just never use the high beams anymore.

Could be a number of things.....
It could just be ignorance. Some people were never taught much. It could be that their dim lights don't work and they haven't had the time or the money to fix the problem. It could also be that they are distracted by life and have their mind on something else and YOU don't matter to them. Pick your choice.

Most new cars have super bright LED lights. They are on dim but blind you. Either that or lifted trucks where they are aimed high.

I was just about to make this thread. I was driving back from Alabama and no one seemed to care to dim their headlights.

Usually it’s easy to tell the difference based on the width of distance between the beams of light. The only thing is Jeeps can throw you off because of how close their headlights are together.

My low beam headlights must be bright because I routinely get people hitting me with they brights at night. When I hit them with my brights they realize what assholes they actually are.

Your normal headlights are so bright they affect other people driving, and them bitching at you about it makes them the a-hole?

Yeah but not all cars, and the ones that do you can switch the option off.

Combination of:

A) People driving 2008 Malibus or Altimas with 1 or both low-beam bulbs burnt out, so they leave their brights on instead of just changing the fricking bulb.

B) People relying on automatic dimming who are too lazy or stupid to manually turn off their high beams if they don’t switch.

C) People with lift or “leveling” kits who are too lazy or stupid to align their headlights correctly.

D) LED headlights with weird beam angles, even on the low beams.

It's self entitlement,, they feel they are more important and you have to deal with it.

This is the problem. Should be a legal limit to the brightness of low beams. It really does make the road unsafe when oncoming traffic can't see shite, especially on these narrow Louisiana roads.
