I just wanted to get views and opinions on my topic.
Everyone of every race lives and works together down here.
Go back to your lily white enclave in the Midwest.

graduated from Central High in 1996. We may have played sports against each other. I had a Bronco girlfriend when I was a Sr. Not a very popular decision among my classmates
My freshman year.
Got in two bench clearing fights with Central in two sports: football and soccer.
Also a giant parking lot brawl at their gym as a fan for a basketball game.
Central: Zachary's 38th Parallel with LP.

But of course. It's very obvious.
Let me put it this way with a hypothetical:
You have two choices of schools: 1. An all white public school or 2. a majority African American private religious (your denomination) school.
I'm quite certain which choice most would select.

I guess it depends where you grow up. My nephews went to public school in rural Pennsylvania and right outside of Houston and those schools put mine to shame. At the same time the public schools available to me growing up looked like the movie dangerous minds.

South LA public schools are a combination of bad education system and kids who are products of trashy environments. Main two reasons for paying to send your kids to private school where they’ll get a good education and be surrounded by kids with parents that are just as interested in their kids’ success.

I’d send my kid to St. Aug.
Deal with it.

Because some kids can't make it without mommy and daddy buying their grades...

Scruffy went to the same Catholic school his father went to, which originated from the same Catholic school Grandpa Scruffy went to, which was the brother school to the one Grandma Scruffy went to.
All that racism.
All that racism.

We deal with the same issues, but have fantastic public schools.

I never experienced that. I was always from the lower class but my parents sacrificed a lot to send me to a school and environment they thought was better.

East Baton Rouge Parish, the second largest school district in Louisiana, improved for the second year in a row, but it’s 67.8 percent graduation rate in 2016 is still 0.8 percentage points below the rate of its best graduating Class in 2013.
68% High School graduation rate. 68% not because the school is difficult, it's that 30%+ that didn't make it were probably thugs.
If that doesn't scare you enough to send your child to a private school, I dont know what will.

There is a reason Scruffy doesn’t plan on returning to that state.

My catholic HS was founded in the late 1800’s. It was integrated from day 1.
OP can get fricked.

You’re pissed. Apparently this is a sensitive topic and you don’t like the idea of an outsider questioning your way of life. So pathetic. No wonder this state has no hope. You people work together? Give me a damn break Haha you said go back to my white enclave? You mean like the same kind of enclave that 3 our of every 4 college educated LA natives are jetting for in Texas?

I went to the same high school as my grandfather but apparently there was a rough patch where my mother didn’t get the same chance.
