Weren’t the first black kids to go to Parkview brought in for Basketball in the 90’s?

Yes it’s fricking weird. Grown arse adults asking other grown arse adults where they went to high school 30 years ago instead of a normal question like what do you do for a living.

You are the one that asked the question. I don’t really give much thought to my high school. Same with my fraternity or college. I live in the present and that takes up so much time that there’s not a lot of time for reminiscing.

Unlike when I was at ZHS in the mid to late 90's, they actually provide a good education now. ? And they have black kids

I went there from 1982-1994, confederate flags and all.

I lost my virginity to a Silliman girl actually

Yeah okay.. you’re right. I’m sure people from other states are all wrong and the way things are done in South LA is the right way. We’re the idiots and you private school educated people are above us peasants

Too bad there’s not more people like you who believe the past is the past and don’t care who went to which HS 30 years ago

You do realize that part of the reason Louisiana is ranked second to last in education is because the smartest people go to private schools right?

I can't help you with your inferiority complex. But labeling a whole group of people racist with absolutely no evidence to back it up is pretty funny.

Scruffy is guessing based off of the name.

Every city in LA at least the southern part, has those entitled kids who went to the “best” private school in the area so they think they’re above everything.

Something to the effect communities can't raise specific taxes for schools because all schools have to be equal. Segregation issue. So private schools flourish.

In the 80s a judge ruled that desegregation could include forced bussing across town. So kids from the hood could be sent to somewhat suburban schools all the way across town. The middle class and up just put their kids in private school or moved to the suburbs. We now have schools in nice neighborhoods where most of the students are from ghetto neighborhoods miles away. Makes a lot of sense right?

I was in school in lake Charles before integration.

Lagrange won state in many categories. Weird concentration of giving a hoot. All the military kids I knew were solid serious students and the home boys had their stars too.
Great class of 60. 61 was great too.

Everything changes. Little rock central was integrated.

My sister went to episcopal. I think she needed it. She floundered in public. It was not about race. Or religion.
Structure and caring. Imho.

The evidence is other posters who said it before I could.. I was just waiting for another to come out and say it so I didn’t think I was the only one who believed it.

Nah. You’re just using confirmation bias and ignoring posts that have refuted your racist, elitist theory.
