Experience at Home Depot

Have been shaking my head since I got back this morning….
Did the self checkout. Had roughly $150 worth of stuff, including 6 5 packs of the leaf paper bags. On my way out, I got stopped by security because one of the bags ($4.99) didn’t scan. He checked my entire cart. I am a white male in my 50’s. Do you think they do this to ANYONE or just people that fit my profile?

So you didn't shoplift intentionally or unintentionally. There's a failure in Home Depot's training of self checkout cashiers. Tell them they need to improve their training.

They used to always check me at Walmart in less than stellar neighborhoods (the 2 times per year I was there). I am clean cut and wear polo shirts. I did not blame them… I would have done the same in their shoes rather than risk getting attacked.

my city does it as part of a zero waste initiative but others have a community composting program
