Solid exit.

Now let’s do the worst. My vote goes to Grosse Tete (exit 139?). There’s not even a Tiger anymore.

No. Boscoes in Opelousas has the best chicken cracklins. The rub they put on those things is divine.
Surrey ain’t that bad right there. It’s hood but it ain’t Webb or Carmel bad.

Just west of Laffy on I-10, i.e., Scott, LA.

As the OP notes, it's an amazing food exit.

FTR, we broke up with Billy's because the lines were so long and am currently dating Kartchner's.

Best stop was 1st. The others moved in, Best Stop is about a mile north of I-10. I don’t think the new comers have hurt Best Stop though.

If you get tired of fighting I-10 take Hwy 190 from Opelousas to BR and stop (don’t speed) through Krotz Springs. Don’s on north side and Kartchners on south side of 190. Kartchners’s stuffed Cornish hens and Pork Chops are out of sight.

Did you mean Billy's, not Don's in Krotz Springs?

What is a ribeye sausage? This sounds like something I need to go out of my way to find.

I always stop at marchers and spend around $200 on all sorts of stuff on my way back to Texas. Love it!

Best Stop is only a half mile north of I-10. It's just past the Super1 Foods supermarket on the left.

Also Fezzo's and Rochetto's.

And if you go further into Scott, about 1 mile from Billy's, you'll find Uncle T's Oyster bar. Really good food and cold beer. He's known for his charbroiled oysters and the boudin eggrolls are outstanding. Anthony and his wife have built one hell of a business since they opened.
