Do they have employees? With that logic, they're stealing from thier employees.

Everyone is going to laugh and point at this retard...

But there are a TON of these retards out there. There is a growing subset of Americans who think just like this.

I was wondering that too.

Edit: My guess is that rent and interest are way too abstract for some people. These people see the flow of money going one way but don’t understand the services traveling the other way.

Hence the title, “doesn’t understand mutual exchange.”

Large swaths of our urban population see absolutely nothing incorrect with those statements.

And they vote.

Prepare yourself accordingly.

You should pay them. They should not.

With this thinking, we're back to the days of "Sure, occupy that space. Now you have to defend it."

The left hasn't got the guts to live their own philosophy. They couldn't survive in the world they THINK they want. Most exist in wealthy enclaves that are the opposite of everything they profess to believe.

Currency exists so we dont have to consume everything immediately. You are paying rent because it costs money to build and own the property. You wont keep a business open without profit because you have expenses.

We went with low rates and making it easier for anyone to get a loan and then the housing market crashed.

Socialism.

How does the saying go about each person contributes according to their abilities and each receives according to their needs?

And I have some rainbows and unicorns for ya too.

While I fundamentally disagree with him, rent and interest at least make sense. The idea is that people shouldn’t be able to make more capital simply because they have capital to begin with, without adding “work” to the system.

Profit is a nonsensical outlier in this construction, even if you bought into his premise.

No, he knows property taxes exist, and thinks that the owner should pay them. He, however, should not even be paying rent.

You should be paying taxes. He should not. That is their entire underlying philosophy.

The Labor Theory of Value is nonsense. If all of the labor needed to produce an item were reflected in an item’s price, it’s price would approach infinity. Labor is not how we assign value to an object.

Edit: There could very easily be 1,000,000 man-minutes (man-hour/60 minutes) of labor from all of the sources needed to make a single pencil. If we assume a minimum wage of $15 (what most of these people seem to want), that comes out to a single pencil worth $250,000.

Not really. You are paying for the usage of capital/property that is not yours.
