Exhaust manifold leak

I have a 2006 F-250 with what appears to be exhaust manifold leaks on both the driver and passenger sides. I normally do all my repairs on my own but wondering if this particular job is more headache than necessary. Namely, snapping a rusted bolt head off
Then having to get an ez out to remove stud is one of my worries. What say the OT?

What am I looking at?
You're looking at bolts stained with engine exhaust and oil due to a crack in his manifold
OP, I had one crack on a 4cyl vehicle and decided to pay someone to fix it just because of how difficult it would be to remove everything around the manifold
Cost me $1500 but was well worth it IMO

Pretty sure your truck needs penicillin.

I've got a good name for this car, Rusty

Can you hear an exhaust leak?
Sure that's not just your valve covers leaking oil?

No more of a headache than breathing exhaust.

What do the plugs look like?
What makes you think it is an exhaust leak?
If it is a manifold leak past the gasket or a cracked manifold I would ay to have it fixed. Janky exhaust manifolds are about the only thing I won't work on between the grill and the firewall. At the very least you are going to look like you went 20 rounds at Sonic with a dude that had an iron head.

did you try orally occluding the exhaust release conveyance channel?

Do you have a welder to weld a nut onto the broken stud to remove it? Can you jack up the engine to get the the job done? If no to either of those pay somebody to do it.

I use a stethoscope styled device that is actually along thin rod to listen for sources of noise. Just touch a spot and listen. You can find exactly where the noise emanates. So, if it is an exhaust leak, you could hear it. That could be just a cracked gasket.

I feel like we are witnessing a td info thread for flex seal

I would definitely pay someone. That's gonna be a pia

An exhaust manifold leak will not cause any liquid leaks. So have something else going on. You can remove the exhaust manifold and the only thing that will come out is exhaust gas and noise.

I don’t see exhaust leaks in that pic. An exhaust leak is going to show some scorching marks where the hot exhaust is leaking. You also should hear it as someone here questioned already.

which engine is that? Looks lie you have an oil leak, not an exhaust manifold leak.

This. The only thing you should notice if an exhaust manifold leak is a noise like a hissing sound when the exhaust leaks from a crack.
If liquid, I'm thinking valve cover leak and oil flowing down by the exhaust manifold. The only thing that should come out of your exhaust is hot air/gas, nothing liquid.

6.0
I can see space between the headers and the engine block. The old 6.0’s did NOT come from the factory with gaskets.
As much space between the two mating surfaces is open I can see it blowing soot out, and the exhaust leak smokes and stinks the whole cab up. As to why there is liquid ? Idk that’s beyond me. Maybe the turbo oil seal is leaking?
