New discovery proves there's much we still don't know.

Probably just threw them all in the death hole because of the stink, or it's just a collection of ones who wandered into the pitch black cave and fell to their deaths.

"thrown for a loop" is very sophomoric in writing terms.
The reason we continue searching and learning in science is for the new discovery. We expect to learn something that changes the way we thought about it before. It's exciting and intellectually stimulating to know of a knew homo-erectus ancestry species. How close to homo-sapien-sapien, homo-sapien-idaltu, homo-neanderthalensis is it? What tools will be found around it. Writings? How did they hunt? How did they migrate? One thing we know for sure, erosion has removed much more that we do not know about. And as our current books are based on what we currently know and this will be a fun road to explore re-writing history!
