Jesus! It's not a troll. Can't you read? They said it's a Homo naledi. Trolls are found in The Lord of the Rings books. Smh.

What's interesting about this is that burial appears to outdate religion. Very, very interesting.

This is really the first step to wisdom. The stupidest among us claim to have the answers to everything, and when the smart ones simply claim they don't know their ridiculous questions, they assume victory. Anyone who claims to know everything or know someone/something that knows everything is a fool.

ETA: stupid homophones, it's "thin" not "then"

radiation of evolution isn't really a new thing. the interesting thing is it is a closer relative than most and sounds like it has behavior we haven't seen in other non human primates.

thoughts of higher powers or an afterlife may be a hominid evolutionary trait.

You wouldn't need "new discovery" if your "science" actually knew what was going on. This quest for understanding just shows lack of understanding. Proving once again that the pro science crowd is a bunch of sheep pretending to know stuff when you don't really know shite.

Right. They use "trends" and make assumptions based on those trends, but there are lots of scientific findings with holes that are simply filled with an assumption based on the trendline, and its not shocking to me at all when the true narrative of how things went down forks from the assumed trend.

It's not about religion, it's about the higher order of thinking. It's not for a lack of religion that rabbits, dogs, and chimpanzees don't bury their dead, it's their lack of cognitive abilities.

I thought we debunked the whole "carbon dating disproves Christianity" line of thought a few years back. Evolution too.

I don't think it's really throwing it for a loop at all.

It's more like they found another transitional species from really old Homo genus species to more recent Homo genus species.

This species demonstrated that higher cognitive thinking skills existed way prior to what was previously thought. This species doesn't fit the previously known progression.

I'm sure the evos will make up some BS theory to find a link and report it as fact. Par for the course with these nuts.
