I hate the freaking smell. I smell it too often on the damn interstate!
I don't run into too much stank shite in Mandeville and Madisonville, though. I'm sure there are plenty who partake, but the majority of them must do it in private.

Great thread. This has been a frequent topic with our friends and neighbors. I am no longer surprised when I smell it during a run, but these are people heading to school or their job in the morning. Need to take the edge off I suppose.

What's laughable is that so many people talk about cigarettes being trashy and cigarette smoke smelling bad... weed is 10x worse

“Medical Use” is complete BS. Everyone knows that it is a pretext for potheads to keep smoking, finding a “doctor” to write them a “prescription”. That’s exactly what happened in California, everyone I met from there had these bogus doctors writing them “prescriptions”
Also, what amuses me is that tobacco gets demonized, yet smoking a joint is 100% healthy and “all natural”. Smoking anything cannot be good for you. So, when all the potheads get lung cancer, maybe they will have some regret.

The issue seems to be that weed smells stronger nowadays. It didn't smell that strongly 30 years ago.

Took the family to an Orlando resort and our neighbors were smokin it up constantly, had to ask to be moved.

Yep. It’s everywhere. Weed should still be illegal. Functioning people in real jobs still can’t smoke it since most companies will fire if weed shows up on your drug test. It’s just people without jobs, people with shite jobs, and people barely functioning. I'm in tech, and my company can initiate random drug screening at anytime per the handbook. They never have, but they can.

there seems to be almost a 1:1 correlation between a house in the neighborhood giving off a weed smell couple times a week and those neighbors being the trashy neighbors

Yeah the hypocrisy is pretty bad. We’ve demonized smokers at every turn and exiled them to the farthest corner. But the dope smokers are given a pass?
As suggested earlier, use edibles. You’ll still have your crutch, you just won’t bother everyone else.

I say this as someone who smokes. I agree. People are too in your face with it. If you do it at your house or whatever is fine. But now everyone is driving around smoking. Out in crowds smoking. I don't want to smell tobacco or weed.
Though I think most of my current dislike for weed smell is because I don't mess with flower because I never want to have a smell. That smell lingers Vape BHO is very low odor .
