I wonder how our BS eagle “expert” that is 100% wrong, would do with snake identification.

At Homer, AK spit.
Professional photographers put fish on the beach before daylight, then take pictures of the eagles eating them when the sun comes up. We were camped on the same beach.
ETA: A guy I went to high school with had a stuffed one he shot, in his Truxno doublewide, until the feds raided him for the acre of pot he had growing behind the trailer.

Yep, decent amount of them. I always wondered why they didn't make that cry you always hear associated with them only to Google it and that's not what they sound like

Yes. We have a lake house about 90 minutes southeast of Atlanta. There have been nesting eagles in our cove for 20+ years.
Have seen golden eagles in the wild in the north Georgia mountains as well as out west.
Probably the coolest raptor I've seen in the wild were California condors at the Grand Canyon.

Our Fort Pickens pair have chicks, and they are growing fast. We go visit them just about weekly. Got these shots when we camped out there last weekend.

They nest around Lake Houston also; it's why Atascocita High School is the Eagles.
I’ve seen a few (or maybe the same bird) around Cypress Creek in the Cypress/Klein area

I had never seen one until 2001.
I see them so often now, it’s not even a big deal.
I see them at home. At the hunting camp. While fishing. I even see them at this shitty plant where I spend far too much of my life.

Used to have one that hung out in our yard when I was young. Don’t think it was a bald one.
There was a wild life refuge near our house

Yes. Had one sitting on the edge of my pond on Christmas Day last year. It was awesome!

Every November several thousand show up in Haines AK for the hooligan run. Literally hundreds in one tree

That’s a bald eagle baw. Ignore the “Aktually” guy.
Keep it crossed off your bucket list.

I’ve seen them flying from a distance. They did or still do have a nest between fountainbleau state park and the Mandeville harbor. They had a group of people and some biologists watching them for a while.
I have two cool experiences
1) was kayaking down the Tangipahoa river between Amite and Independence and one flew over one of those white sand beaches about 30’ off the ground and about 50’ away. I was with 3 other guys and we all just watched it, speechless.
2) I live in rural Abita and I turned down my street and one came out of the woods and turned down my street going the same direction I was going. He too was only 20-30’ off the ground. It was crazy. I have video I’ll see if I can post it. Next morning I saw him perched up in a tree one street over. Never saw him again. That was December ‘23
