i did read the second one faster, but was already primed by reading the first one first.
interesting concept. but not sure it will really help. lets just get on neuralink and really adopt bionics.

Is it supposed to be faster or more in depth?

You read each word faster because the first few letters are in bold so your brain focuses on those letters and then fills out the rest of the word instead of reading the whole word and occasional tripping over a word or 2.
Maybe I should say word again.

i think read them at the same speed when i know what is written...
would like to see some studies on this, but would have to account for priming.

I read the first one so much faster. I wonder if it only works with digital text or is it just as effective on a printed sheet.

If Lindsay Walker sends me a message in bionic, I’ll read it.

Reminds me of bionic TV watching, that resulted in the bionic hand.

I've never heard of it but if I could turn a filter on for it, I'd do it.

We got kids in Louisiana that are are the top end of their high school class that can’t read either of those.

It’s kind of like autocorrect for reading.

Thanks for that. Now I’m hooked and can’t go back to normal reading.

That's the same concept as "speed reading" from back in the day. Just a new name.

I’m not sure the brain is really “filling in the rest”. If that were true you should be able to remove the unbolded letters and still read it.
I think it’s just helping to guide your eyes through the passage because you understand you need to jump to the next bolded letter.
Pretty cool. I’d like to see if the effect wears off after you have been reading for awhile
