Cool. I hope you get it. No hate from me BTW

I had an OK month on eBay last month and still listing a ton of stuff so I respect the hustle.

I have been selling a ton of vinyl records I came into.

Not counting mine, there’s only 3 light blue mustangs on eBay.
Two are for sale at $2500 each, and one sold, but don’t know for how much because he took an offer under $1000

$5615 for 123 items. That’s pretty good. My target is always $50 average. Right now I’m at $63, but I had a couple items drop off after 90 days, my average was $79+

The vinyl records brought my average down but they were sitting in my office for months so I finally got around to listing them. I had over 250 but sold some to a local place that resells at a flea market and kept the better ones for eBay. Still have like 50 to list this weekend.

I also sold a lot of sealed sports cards from the 90s that I had. The best one was some sealed Marvel cards that sold for $250 for the box then I had 8 sealed DC comics cards that all sold for $50 per box.

I also have about 40 various retro gaming consoles I am finally about to go through. I bought a cheap TV with RCA jacks to test them and get them sold.

Its all stuff I have found in repo houses over the years and had in storage. Finally getting around to getting rid of it all.

After I get rid of it all, I will probably do what you do and hit up estate sales. I like doing this stuff just never got around to it.

I sort of wish the played with cars would be worth more, sort of like the patina on sterling silver dinnerware.

True story. I know a barber who had a shop in St. Bernard that loved going to Vegas a few times a year. Upon EVERY return he would tell anyone within earshot how he got down the first few days and then made a big run near the end of his visit and came home a winner.

One guy chimed in with this after hearing his story. "He drove to Vegas in a $30K Cadillac and returned home in a $200K vehicle-----------------a Greyhound Bus".

AT - do you ever post screengrabs of your sold merch so we can see what price you actually got?

I did earlier last year when I could not miss.

Didn't mean to imply taht you take losses on everything but that on individual items it's bound to happen. You do what you enjoy doing!

I knew what you meant. I buy stuff all the time that I spent too much on or it’s not valuable. Like I said, I don’t think I’ve ever loss money on any single day’s outing in 20 years. I look at the money by the day, not per item.
That’s why I usually start each thread with how much I spent. The first line in this thread is, “I spent a total of $47.” As long as my return is greater than $47, it’s a win. Now need to just wait to see how great of a win. The Mustang is at $76 and nothing else has bids. If I don’t get another bid, I still didn’t lose anything that day.

I deal on hot wheels quite a bit and I doubt it’s worth quite that much.

I'd give you $47 for the J. Cash Record right now...

The best Hot Wheels hit I've ever had, outside of a few 1995 Treasure Hunts I got a good deal on, was purely coincidental and....really accidental.

Several years back Hot Wheels came out with a premium Speed Machines line with mostly exotics and race cars. The liveries were cool and I liked the castings, so I bought pretty much the whole original run, including some doubles. It turns out, not many people really liked the line. The cars would hang on the pegs for weeks, to the point that I'd break down and buy one that I'd passed up a while before.

Fast forward a few years and import/exotic popularity began to boom with Hot Wheels collectors following suit. This was also around the time HW lost the licensing to both Ferrari and Bugatti, meaning they wouldn't be making anymore.

I had, I think 40+ Speed Machines cars and a decent collection of mainline Ferraris and Bugattis, doubles on most. All total, after just a couple weeks, I sold all of those I had for well over $5,000 with the Bugattis bringing the highest amount.

I decided to end the auction on the Mustang and relisting it with just a BIN of $750 or best offer.
I was getting too many fake (or new) accounts bidding on it.

It was up to $205 when I ended it.

Do you ever see and/or purchase vintage watches? 40's, 50's, 60's and early 70's stuff.

Unfortunately, the more public you make your efforts and account the more of this you will have. Some people are just shitty, and I suspect most of them in this case are from this joint.
