I had so many of those hot wheels cars. We would tape bottle rockets to them and launch them.

I paid $18 for the cars, $24 for the sunglasses, and $5 for the record.
So if the sunglasses are a loss, and the cars sell for $500, do I really have a loss?
This is always how it was in my vintage booth and they few things I sold on ebay. The wins were much more than the losses. So the net was always in the red for a hobby that I found fun.

He does but never shows his losses,

He spent $47 on a hobby. Why would you care if he lost the whole 47 bucks?

Within the first 5 minutes of it being listed, I got three offers on the Mustang, ranging between $100-$182.

Aaaaand Stout completely disappeared from this thread like the little coward bitch that he is.

I enjoy your estate sale posts, thank you sir.

The Mustang just got an opening bid, so all my offers went away. If I had an offer of $182, I’m guessing it will go for over $200.

I really like seeing the final numbers. Big scores or big fails, it’s interesting stuff. Good luck.

yup all the ones in my parents attic have boogered up fronts. The old 80s vet was the best because the low front would flip the car you ran it in to.

Man, I loved playing demolition derby with those.

This is a little unprecedented. It’s been listed for four hours, already has 91 views and 20 watchers.
There is something special about the Mustang. It maybe light blue, not blue.

No, I will gladly eat crow if I am wrong. I hope it goes for a million for AT.

I was basing it off of eBay comps. Not sure what separates his blue Mustang from the other blue Mustangs for cheaper but something does.

I will still be shocked if the entire lot sells for $1000 like he said it would unless he gets the majority of that from the Mustang.

Congrats to him on the score

I have a friend who owns an auction company. He has several auctions every year loaded with high condition red line Hot Wheels. They always do well.

Cool find!

You ever come across one of the original Chimes Street demo cassettes by Better Than Ezra? Should be from the late 1980s.

I never said they will go for $1000, I said I think they may go for $1000.

It all depends on the blue mustang going for $250-$500, plus a couple others going for $100+ each, and the rest going for $50 each. That would be in the $800+ range.

I was actually basing the $250-$500 range for the Mustang on a wrong search. It being light blue never crossed my mind.

It getting very unusual traffic still. It is up to $76, with 155 views and 30 watchers, after only 19 hours being listed. This is super rare. The rest of cars have only 7-19 views each, with only one having a watcher on it.
