What % of gasoline are you saving by having your engine shut off for 15 seconds every half hour while idling?

Yep, that's why I bought a 2021. Wanted to get one before all this silliness got ramped up even further.

What makes you think I am? I drive a 6cyl.
The F250 figs are just as annoying and ignorant as the Prius figs, but who am I to judge what they do in the bedroom?

I guess I can see why they are pushing the antiquated trains, lol…..

Not just the rural middle class. It hurts a lot of people who live in suburban or less densely populated urban areas as well.
Try to get on the interstate in BR in a SmartCar and you will have so many cars up your arse you would think you were Ryan Dunn of Jackass.
The only areas where crap like that is feasible are dense urban areas like the northeast which run from DC to Boston and certain huge cities like San Francisco which are car unfriendly to begin with.

Id like to see the total emissions output and how that is influenced by the engine half-assed heat cycling at a stoplight and then having to re-start itself every time. The dirtiest any engine ever runs is the first few seconds after a cold start.

Incoming post about why did my Starter and Battery die so fast in 3, 2, 1

We are beyond fricked. Screw anyone that thinks EVs are an answer to anything

This is only the beginning, the new EPA head Regan got the highest award from the Sierra Club a few years ago for blocking pipelines in NC using the 401 WQC.

Let's look at the total lifetime environmental footprint of a lithium ion battery EV vs a standard Toyota camry.
We don't really care because the metal mining and battery building is happening in some far away land, where they don't give a flying frick about emissions or the environment.

I thought I was doing good when my deleted f250 went from 15 mpg to 19 mpg

Electric vehicles have much greater acceleration rates versus gas engines and have as much power for towing and hauling.
Once the battery technology gets better (lighter, more distances, quick recharging) the gas engine will be replaced. The gas engine will go the way of the coal-fired steam engine.

This is just a way for them to reduce the amount of vehicles in circulation and slowly force people into a world where no one owns a car.

Why not just regulate it to 100 MPG, or 1000 MPG???? Thta would make people "feel" good about the thought of saving the planet......
