We rarely touch ours. Just leave at 71 all the time. I might turn it up to 77 when we are on vacation

I bet every employee and every politician who is lecturing everybody to do this has their AC set at 68 all day and night

that’s an article from last year. Natural gas on the spot market is a quarter of the price it was in February 2022.
Have Entergy's prices gone down? Seems to me fuel adjustments only go one way. frick Entergy

We set it at 78 when we’re not home though. Goes down to 74-75 when we get home in the afternoon and 70-71 at night to sleep

can’t remember how long it’s been since I’ve seen a home thermostat that isn’t programmable

Never trust a woman with a hyphenated last name. I’m sure her house is a comfortable 70°.

I'm dying at 75, but some of y'all are just beyond. I feel decadent just setting my thermostat to 72 at night.

Take into account that there are power plans you can sign up for (at least in Texas) which can grant you cheaper prices *if* you grant the distributor the ability to "moderate" your power usage during "peak periods." You can essentially volunteer to give yourself a brown out without the diarrhea jokes.
Yeah, no shite, it was 94 degrees at 3PM today, and that's when you want to control my usage? Die.

Entergy can lick my balls...and at 78 that wouldn't be good.
Posted on 6/9/23 at 6:54 pm to LemmyLives
yeah, no thanks, we have a co-op so we’re stuck with one company, the daughter lives in an area where there’s some outfit that continually shops around for the best prices with no brown outs

Sandra Diggs-Miller would never keep her AC at 78. Never.
