Foreigner with no original members just destroyed the joint. They were that good. Then Darius Rucker came on. Mediocre at best. I still remember the Hootie & the Blowfish crisis of the mid 90’s. It wasn’t fun.

No. The members can invite as many friends as they want as long as they pay the ticket admission for their price when the applications are due. I ride with my father and other family members. Been riding for nearly 30 years. We have usually 15 tables and no issues.
Once the deadline for application passes, general public tickets can go on sale if the extravaganza is not sold out.
It is byob and catered food. This year and next year will be in Convention center and 2025 will be in Dome.

The few different mardi gras balls I have attended, you needed to get a ticket from a member. The members pay dues that include their tickets then the only way for non members to attend is to be invited.
I think everyone always mistakes the Extravaganza as a ball.
There is the coronation ball, which only members attend, and then there is the Extravaganza, which is just a giant post parade party.

That’s nothing, it’s was a 50 min wait to get into the virginal sacrifice tent at Comus.

Something like that. Endymion is more of Mut parade in terms of anyone can pay to ride, as to where the others are more pure bread.

I’m not even trying to be an arse.
But
Mutt?
Pure bread?
Really not trying to be a dick. I’ve never really gotten the Krewe thing, and I’m checking to see if this is terminology I just don’t understand.

Chateau (Kenner) society versus Garden District society is what he is talking about. Big difference between the two.

Each member has "a table", it varies from ball to ball, but its either one or two tables that have food and drinks and anyone who drinks something specific that the member doesn't provide, they usually bring it to the member the day of so that it can be set up or whatever.
So for Endymion, anyone who buys a ticket can attend? And then you have to wait in line for drinks like its halftime?
I really was having a text conversation with someone who went to a tableau tonight. Some of those people who are members of balls are fricking moon kiters and the amount of self worth they give themselves for being a member is hilarious.
In this particular ball, at the Tableau the emcee, like every year, trashes on other ball krewes that are considered the "lesser" balls. Its like "Dude.. every single person involved in the Tableau and the people who are king and queen pay to be it. They don't do anything to earn that title, they are put on waiting list and know 5-7 years in advance, but they have to keep it a secret, when their year comes up, they pay around $150k which includes cost of costumes, etc, and they get to dress and say they are king and queen and beyond the people in your little club, no one gives a single frick".
Look, I understand it is nice to dress formal and go to a party with a good band. Good food, friends and people you don't see on a regular basis, but don't act like this makes you better... Because you are not.. And those who do, people actually laugh at them because of it. But hey... whatever people have to do to make themselves feel important. Good for them.
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah didn't read any of that LMFAO
