End of the day at Woodlawn Middle ends with three fights

Three fights, back-to back-to back. Staff had to form a human chain to prevent other students from running to the fights. One kid was taken to the office, then darted out and fought again. Instead of calling the police, they allowed him to leave on the transfer bus.

Correct protocol if they were students of color. Calling the police on people of color is never ok.

OMG!! 3 fights on a Friday towards the end of the school year.
I know it's something you don't want to happen, but when you have 100s of teenagers on one campus, fights every now and then should be normal.

I went to catholic school for 4 years.. We went to mass every Wednesday, way of the cross every Friday during lent.. There would be a fight.. I'd say at least once every 2 weeks, on average.. During recess. Usually kids getting mad at each other on the basketball court or doing something else.
They would fight and by the end of the day they were friends again.

My grandpa told me when he was in HS, if there were kids who had problems with each other, the boxing coach would make them put on gloves and get in the ring and tell them to go ahead and get their aggression out. They would fight until they wore each other out and that was that.

My 4 years of HS in Memphis suburb school of over 3500, 1 fight (more of a bullying with a single punch thrown and then a run away) was all we had. By the time I reached it the loser was nowhere to be found. Over so fast the winner never even got punished as the only thing any teachers/admins got to see was a crowd already dispersing.
