And personally, I don't mind it because I fricking love dogs. They're way more fun to be around than most humans

I mind it because there are a lot of shitty humans that raise equally shitty dogs

Yeah, I agree. We've gotten to the point where telling people they can't bring a dog into your own business is a death knell. If a restaurant owner doesn't want dogs in their restaurant, some a-hole will go on Twitter and try to put the guy out of business.

I've only seen 1 that I think was a legit emotional support dog. There's a young boy that attends The Bayou Church in Lafayette and it's obvious he is a special needs child. He has a big yellow lab that lays under his feet during church and he keeps his feet on him at all times. Even with the loud music and singing, the dog never flinches!

This is what happens when you have 50 boards. The one board that is the “Off Topic Lounge” gets diluted.

Then that should automatically disqualify them from ever owning a pet, let alone a service animal. Check and mate.

I would much prefer a service dog or ESA dog to still be intact.

A neutered male will typically be more aggressive against non-neutered male dogs as well as having an altered hormonal balance. Not a recipe you won’t for a service animal.

So you distracted it? Good job...Seriously any animal that is "working" is not supposed to be pet by anyone but its owner.

It's so losers everywhere can bring their pets with them. My grandparents lived through both World Wars, the Great Depression, and the Dust Bowl. They never needed support animals.

Oh, make no mistake. They had emotional support animals, but that generation wasn't filled with pussies and those animals weren't coddled. Turns out that delicious bacon and pork chops go a long way toward calming the emotions when you're hungry.

It’s also so you can move them to homes/apartments that don’t allow pets. It’s a loophole in the restrictions a landlord can set against pets.

Service dogs <> Emotional support dogs

And I asked if I could pet it and told her she could put it between us in the seat. It was an old shitzu that just chilled the entire time.

People are pussies.
In my opinion if you aren’t physically disabled or a veteran you can get that emotional support bullshite out of here.
Can’t handle the stress of life without your pit bull at your side 24/7? You should probably stay at home and never leave.

autism, severe PTSD, etc. that really rely on emotional support dogs.

Those people need service dogs not emotional support dogs. Trained service dogs.

Other than someone being blind or having a severe physical condition where a service dog is really required and trained for a specific function than it is all bullshite. I know a soilder who used the service animal for PTSD to avoid the cost of shipping his Great Dane overseas to his next duty station.

I’m gonna muzzle a coyote and put a service dog vest on it and drag it on an airplane.
