They conveniently leave out the part where Gordon Gekko went to prison.

This is one of the most important points today and it can’t be said enough. It really takes the legs out from under the argument of the socialists. I

This is your friendly, semi-regular reminder that Elon is a proponent of abolishing all intellectual property laws to give his (and other) AI complete free run over everything that has ever been or ever will be created. Well, almost all......he wants to maintain the rights to his shite, of course, and he has the money to do it. That would effectively kick the ladder out from under every person beneath him.

Envy, jealousy, and greed. Simple as that.

Full self drive is incredible. Tons of conservatives buying Teslas for it now

No doubt, but I was responding to a poster rationalizing his envy of other people’s money by complaining about taxpayer money being used for subsidies, which were only there because liberals wanted to subsidize EV adoption. Those subsidies are disappearing. Maybe self-driving will replace the value of the subsidy to Tesla drivers. I’d think it would be close.

i can't quite understand the segment of people who are cheering this guy on, defending his every move and thought, all b/c he aligned himself with Trump... the whole time, they hated him when he was liberal... but now, that he's on "their side", he's fricking God to these clowns

Do you understand the people on your side who worshipped him until he bought Twitter and allowed open speech, and are now so unhinged they vandalize random Teslas ?

The irony is I don’t think he is all that obsessed with his net worth. He is more driven by other things.

I have no issues with Musk, but he has certainly exploited the misguided (in my opinion) subsidies given to solar and EV companies using our tax money.

It's disgusting to you that two consenting parties come to a legal agreement and that, after 3rd party whining and gnashing of teeth is rectified, it's properly completed?

Draw me a game plan of how this would work.

Pretty much. I'm a flat tax kind of guy. If these billionaires, and trillionaires, make their money legally then I have no issue with them possessing that much money. I sure wish they would all do great things with their wealth but the idea you get to tell someone what to do with their money is asinine

If he divided up all his money and gave it to every American, how much would we all get?

I've got a SIL that refuses to buy Amazon Prime because Bezos shouldn't be dropping money on going to outer space. Legitimately has no idea how much she uses Amazon in a day-to-day scenario.

He should do a yrly Elon Sweepstakes. Give away a couple hundred M every year. Do a raffle, winners then have write/present on why they should receive the money. A couple hundred M in 10M prizes would be a cool charity.

Your broke arse would spend that in a weekend, then be looking for someone else’s money to steal.

Why don’t you just earn your own money?
