Controlling extremely valuable companies will increase your net worth because the value of the stock necessary to control the company will be valuable.

You mean, the folks who used to love Elon before they started trashing Teslas? Envy never looks good on anyone, but there it is.
He's an interesting, brilliant guy, who starts new ventures instead of becoming a recluse on a huge yacht or in a massive compound. Tesla, Starlink, Space-X, and X are all good things in my view, and his idea of putting data centers in space is a game-changer if he can pull it off. Most focus on the Teslas, but his network of charging stations and the adoption of them by other E-car manufacturers will probably prove more significant. Imagine owning all the gas stations.
