It feels like you're jabbing at me with the smiley face, but I agree with you.
The left are notoriously bad at making excuses for their "side". Really bad. The right is just as bad.
Any man having kids out of wedlock should not be celebrated by most people on this board if they hold consistent views. However, he is already getting a pass. Just like the left are criticizing this guy and would likely call Obama cool if he did the same thing.
I just want consistency. That's all.

He's lying. It's incredibly obvious. He's doing nothing for the good of the world. There is no altruistic motive in any of his moves so far.
He is saying what he needs to say, how he needs to say it, in order to take his ideals and move the country and world in that direction.
That's no an indictment of the guy. It's just that he's clearly a liar.

Let's be honest, if he was able to be more present the likelihood of this happening would have been dramatically lower.
The fact he is not a model parent doesn't diminish his other accomplishments. There is no reason to try to transform him into a god he isn't perfect.

As an aside, if anyone needs a potential reason why dads generally take Ls in custody fights, maybe this is the answer. Maybe courts don’t take fathers’ roles in the home seriously because we don’t.

Actually he most likely never hit it in person. It's fairly well known that he selects women and propositions them via assistants to become pregnant via artificial insemination.
He then wants the kids raised in his compound with intense tutoring and this weird environment that he thinks is a healthy way for children to grow up. But almost certainly isn't.
He's a non existent husband and an absent father who has almost no personal emotional connection with his children.
I don't think that's the functional nuclear family that most recognize as the best way to raise healthy children
