Well the cost/benefit equation that really makes them worthwhile for businesses is vastly different in a single-family home and thus not very good.

In most homes, towels get washed once or twice a week to provide enough clean towels for use. To replicate that for hundreds if not thousands of potential customers EVERY DAY is very uneconomical in terms of washing and stocking (not to mention a large cash outlay at the start to acquire a sufficient amount of towels and the requisite washers and dryers).

Then you also have to consider the potential for wear and tear, vandalism, and theft of the towels in any situation where there are a large amount of customers using the items. That isn't something that is a concern in a house setting.

Also, in a house, you typically need to wash your clothes anyway so sticking with towels is more efficient than having an electric hand dryer installed.

I want a giant one outside for when someone gets out the pool.
