I just made a wall bracket for my hair dryer. As long as I don't get electrocuted turning it on, it works just as well for a whole hell of a lot less.

After you wash your hands you should use a paper towel or other to turn off the water, then use it to open the bathroom door, this prevents contamination of,your hands from those that uses the bathroom before you if they didn't wash their hands. If not done at home, should always be done in a public bathroom. Blow dryers are a waste and do nothing to prevent recontamination of hands that have just been washed. I avoid eating in restaurants with blow dryers and no paper towels in the rest rooms. Employees use the same facilities that the public uses.

I've always wanted two or three for when I walk out of my shower.

There are hand dryers, such as the World Dryer that makes a swivel nozzle. You often see them in shower/ dressing rooms for women to blow dry their hair. They run about $350 a piece or so...and are becoming more energy efficient.

Hand dryers make sense in commercial...not entirely sure about residential. One day I will have installed those dryers outside of my shower though...30 second dry time or less, and just stand there? Yup.
